Graveh Natural Asphalt Mine

The Garaveh Gilsonite Mine is one of the principal proprietary mining assets of Sormak Mines Company dedicated to the extraction of gilsonite (natural bitumen). The mine is located on the Gilan-e Gharb–Qasr-e Shirin Road, approximately 20–30 km from Qasr-e Shirin and about 2 km north of New Garaveh Village in Kermanshah Province. It serves as one of the primary sources of raw material for Sormak's gilsonite processing operations and plays a strategic role in the Company's integrated value chain.
