Iran's readiness to invest in Afghanistan's iron ore mines

According to Madan News, during the meeting between the Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade (IMIT), steel managers, and mining activists of Iran with Afghan officials, both sides emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of mining and industry. The CEO of Foolad Sanghan, referring to the existing opportunities, announced Iran's readiness to invest in and exploit Afghanistan's mines.

During the visit of a delegation consisting of Dr. Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade (IMIT), Saeed Zarandi, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, Ali Rasoulian, CEO of Foolad Sanghan, and a group of officials from the Ministry of IMIT to Afghanistan, meetings were held with officials of this country and activists in the field of mining and trade.

Ali Rasoulian, CEO of Foolad Sanghan, on behalf of the industry and mining sector and the Iranian private sector, met and consulted with businessmen and activists in the mining sector of Afghanistan in Kabul.

In this meeting, Rasoulian, referring to the existing opportunities for the two countries, announced Iran's readiness to invest and actively participate in Afghanistan in order to expand exploration, extraction and exploitation activities of iron ore mines and other mines.

The CEO of Foolad Sanghan considered the proximity of the two countries, historical affinities, the common vision of Iran and Afghanistan, and the serious determination of both sides as a suitable opportunity for the development of bilateral cooperation.

Also, Ali Rasoulian, in a meeting with traders and mining activists of Herat, with the presence of Dr. Atabak, Minister of IMIT, Saeed Zarandi, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, the Governor of Herat and officials from both sides, as a representative of the private sector and industries and mines of Iran, while presenting a report on the conditions and potentials of the country's private sector, said: The current conditions, given the will of the two countries, the serious support of the Iranian Ministry of IMIT and the CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, are a valuable opportunity to start cooperation between the industrial and mining sectors of the two countries.

Rasoulian, referring to the neighborhood of the two countries, the construction of the Khaf-Herat railway line, Iran's technical and industrial capabilities, and the existence of rich and numerous mines in Afghanistan, said: The private sector and industry and mining of Iran and Afghan traders and activists can create a bright future for both sides in the field of industry and mining through serious and extensive interaction and cooperation.

In these meetings, officials, traders and mining activists of Afghanistan, while appreciating and welcoming the approach of the Iranian delegation, announced their readiness for joint and comprehensive cooperation with the government and Iranian companies.
